It's that time of year again... Ghosts, Goblins.. and in this house, pretty much anything goes as long as it has blood on it. At least the 2 little dudes still dress up cute and don't require anything Gory.
Prior to all of today's festivities, we kickstarted the Halloween season with a trip to the famous Haunted Warehouse. The kids had been told how I had spent a couple of Halloween seasons working as a scary ghost, or whatever they wanted me to be each night, for several years. When they found out that one of the main things I did there was scream, they wanted to hear it. I told them I couldn't do it anymore, all that screaming back then made me lose my voice... funny little buggers said that they really really really wanted to hear me scream a lot. Whatever it took for mom to not have a voice for about a week. HA!
We started out the afternoon with some pumpkin carving, of course, mom did most of the carving... OUCHIE! Tyler completely carved his own, Daniela helped and did most of Nicolas', and I did Noah and Zachary's. After all that hard work, this is what we ended up with.
Not to shabby if you ask me!
Here are a couple of pics of the kids before we headed out to terrorise the neighborhood.
little blurry, but here is another... of course, not everyone was as ready on the less blurry one.
And some individuals... of course, a blurry one and somehow Tyler was left out.
Zachary (who has already rubbed off eye makeup and gotten it on his pants... boys!)
Jonathan (in a 5th generation hand me down costume hand made my Ga-Ma.)
Christian (in a 5th generation hand me down costume hand made my Ga-Ma.)
And... it didn't take long at all for the above picture to look like the below picture
And... then this!
And... if Batman eats too much candy on Halloween night, This is what happens to him!!!
All in all, it wasn't that bad of a Halloween! Do I really want to take 6 small kids and 4 teenagers trick treating again? No. Will I? Probably so! That's just how I roll!
