A beautiful place

Just wanted to share a couple of quick shots. Stefanie took us to an amazing place during our visit to North Carolina. This is a shot inside of Ft Macon where the Battle of Ft Macon was fought in the late 1800's. Ft Macon was amazing and very well kept up. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend you check it out!

 

The birds were eating our leftover lunch... We ate lunch while watching the parasailers.

A break from the seriousness

With all the political learning in school and watching that I have been doing on television... this is a great break from the seriousness!

It's official... Oklahoma City now has our very own NBA team... The Oklahoma City Thunder... formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics.

I can be organized... sometimes!!

 It's a nice rainy day... sitting here enjoying the peacefulness! The only thing that I hate about rainy days is this....

Oh how I hate paw prints on the floor... for that matter I can't stand for my floors to be dirty, but with white tile and 9 people and a ton of animals in our house, it is inevitable!

On to organization... I know, the words Christina and Organization don't mesh to well. When the school year was approaching I started fearing the one thing that made my afternoon crazy (yeah right.. like there was only one thing).... The craziness of backpacks, folders and papers to be signed being thrown at me... AHHHHHHHHH. So, I decided to think up a plan. A mighty fine plan it has been, if I might say so myself.

What I did was... head over to Office Depot and pick up some of those hanging file trays. Right now I only have 4 boys in school, so that is what I purchased, next year I'll pick up one more. I found the strongest magnet that I could and adhered it to the back. Then put the kiddos names on them.

Now when the kids come in from school, they go to the fridge, put their papers in their bin and there is no more confusion as to whose homework is whose! Go Me! ;)

OH.... I paticipated in a local themed swap over on Flickr... my goodies from my amazing partner came today!

This is a handmade piece of pottery from The Annapolis Pottery and of course she was sweet enough to throw in a magnet for my magnet collection! Thank you sooooo much!
